Please arrive to lessons on time, wearing shoes with a heel, and with a helmet. If you do not own a helmet, we will provide one. Lessons will be taught primarily by Anna but also by Carrie & Terral. You can read more about each instructor on the Taktur Team page.

The allotted lesson time includes getting the horse from the stall or field, tacking up, untacking, grooming, and returning the horse to the stall or field. Horsemanship skills are at the foundation of our program, providing our students with a safe and well rounded equine education.

Though students should plan for 1 hour, this allotment is provided for scheduling purposes. Please realize that the primary emphasis is on the individualized needs of both the horse and rider. Therefore, rides may be slightly longer or shorter at the discretion of the instructor.

• Basic safety and horsemanship

• A balanced seat

• Riding on the trail

• Understanding of equine behavior and learning

• Gaited horsemanship

• Dressage principals

• Liberty & bridleless riding

All lessons, cancelations, and rescheduling must be done 24 hours in advance. No refunds or transferring of funds for lessons canceled or rescheduled less that 24 hours in advance unless expressly approved by Carrie.
